Any name.
Any design.
Any size.

Bigger furniture, a sign for the farm, something you've had in your head for years that nobody sells. Tell me what it is and we'll work it out together.

How it goes

I draw it before I build it.

Most of what I make custom starts as a conversation and a sketch. You tell me roughly what you're after, I draw it out with real measurements, and you see it before a blade touches anything. If the drawing's wrong, we fix the drawing — that's a lot cheaper than fixing the board.

Nothing gets cut until you've seen what you're getting.

01

Tell me what you want

Call, text, or message me. A photo of something similar helps, but a description is plenty to start.

02

I draw it and price it

You get a drawing with dimensions and an honest number — my hours plus what the material actually costs.

03

Half down, and I start

The deposit buys your lumber and holds the bench time. Then I build it, one at a time, the slow way.

04

You see it before it leaves

Photos when it's finished. Balance due, then pickup or shipping — whichever suits you.

What it costs

Priced the plain way.

No package tiers, no padding. You pay for the hours it takes and the wood it's made of.

Design & build
$45/hr

Drawing it, building it, sanding and finishing it.

Materials
Cost + 25%

What the lumber and hardware actually cost me, plus a quarter for sourcing and handling.

Deposit
50% up front

This deposit is non-refundable. It buys your material and holds my bench time, so it doesn't come back if the order is cancelled.

Balance
Before it ships

Due before pickup or shipping. You'll see photos before it goes anywhere. Custom pieces ship on their size and finished weight, so I work the postage out on yours and tell you the number before you pay.

Why the deposit doesn't come back: once I've bought your lumber and cleared the bench for your piece, that time and material are spent whether the order goes ahead or not. I'd rather tell you that plainly up front than bury it in terms nobody reads.
What I've built

Some of it isn't in the shop.

Full-size porch swings and A-frame stands. Engraved family signs, torched and finished by hand. Pet silhouettes cut to your dog. Picture frames built around whatever you've got. Furniture, when somebody asks for it.

If you've seen something like it and want your own version, bring me a photo. If nobody makes what you're after, that's usually a better reason to call.

Tell me what you're after.

You'll get me on the phone, not somebody taking a message.
