Shipping and pickup.

Shipping is priced per item, anywhere in the US. The fall sign blocks and the Mini Swing Stand are $8, a swing is $10 — same for the fall plaques, the chair feeder and the picnic table feeder — and a birdhouse is $24. Same price whether you're in Kentucky or California, and every listing states its own number.

Why not one flat rate? Because I checked what these actually cost to send, and they aren't close. A birdhouse is a big light box and a feeder is a small heavy one. Charging everybody the same number meant somebody buying a $10 feeder was covering the postage on somebody else's birdhouse, and I'd rather just tell you what yours costs.

Per item, not per order — and each piece ships in its own box. These are bulky things: a porch swing and a birdhouse won't go in one carton without one of them getting hurt. So two pieces is two boxes and two labels, and the cart adds it up in front of you before you pay.

The swing stand is its own product and its own parcel. A swing on its own ships for $10; the Mini Swing Stand is sold separately at $25 and ships for $8 — the A-frame won't go in the box with the swing, so it's its own label. Swing plus stand comes to $18 postage, which is what it actually costs to send.

Custom work is different, and it is quoted on its own. Anything built to your own measurements or your own design — engraved signs, picture frames, carvings, furniture — gets a price that includes the shipping, worked out on the size and finished weight of the piece I build you. You see that number before anything is cut, and it never lands as a surprise. See custom work.

Free pickup at the Marathon station next to Ace Hardware in Owingsville. Order at least 3 days ahead and pick a time at checkout. If you're in Winchester, Mt. Sterling or Morehead, message me instead and I'll meet you — no charge for that either.
