What it is
This one starts as a block and ends as a bird, and everything in between is a knife and a lot of evenings. Then it gets painted by hand, feather section by feather section.
The perch is left live-edge on purpose — bark on one side, so the bird has something that looks like it grew there rather than a dowel.
It's the most expensive thing on this page and the one I'd show you first if you were standing in the shop.
