What it is
This is the one people picture when they think of a porch swing, shrunk down to about a foot across. Straight back, arm rests you could actually hold onto if you were four inches tall, and the same cedar I'd use on a full-size one.
It's built the way the big ones are built — the back slats go on one at a time, the arms get their own supports, and nothing is glued on afterwards to hide a gap. It takes longer that way. It also means it doesn't come apart in the first hard winter.
Most people hang it off a limb with the rope and fill it with seed. Some sit it on a stand indoors with a plant in it. Both are right.
