Engraving — what should it say?

Names, farms, families, dates. Send me the wording and any picture you're working from — I draw it first, and I price it when I've seen it. A single word and a full scene aren't the same job.

Anything else you want done to it

Custom work is $45 an hour plus materials at cost + 25%, with half down. If what you've written changes the price, I tell you the number first — nothing gets charged you haven't agreed to.

What it is

This is the one that takes the longest and the one I'm asked for most. The lettering and the artwork are burned in, not printed on, and then the whole face gets torched so the grain comes up dark around it.

I draw it before I burn it. You see the layout with your name in it, and if it isn't right we change the drawing — which is a lot cheaper than changing the sign.
