Solid black walnut plaque, hand-picked straight from the mill and finished in my shop in Owingsville, Kentucky.
The script and the falling leaves are all burned into the wood — no paint, no vinyl, no stickers, nothing to peel off in three months. Sanded smooth and finished with two coats of polyurethane.
Comes with a hanger already on the back, so it's ready to go up on a nail. Leans nicely on a shelf or mantel too. About 10.5" tall and 8" wide.
This is the most detailed piece in the fall line — there are better than twenty individual leaves in it, and it takes the better part of an hour to burn one.
Black walnut runs anywhere from deep chocolate to a pale cream stripe where the sapwood comes through, and every board is different. Yours won't look exactly like the photo, and that's the point of buying handmade.
